East Corrimal House

House layout reconfiguration

Bring the outside in

Imagine living in a house that feels like a rainforest, but your actual home is a dull and dark space. That's where we came in! This house was transformed into a vibrant and laid back space that connects the interiors to the beloved backyard.

We began by tearing down every wall at the back of the house and started fresh. This created an open and airy flow from the front door all the way to the garden, making the space feel bigger and brighter.

With only one bathroom for four bedrooms, we had to get creative. A sliding door to the toilet was added so that multiple people can use the bathroom at once without impeding on someones privacy.

The original living space with no visual connection to the garden. Wall to be removed and opened.

Timber ceilings throughout were painted white instead of replaced. Window to be enclosed. Dining room to be new kitchen.

Perfect for a stove.. or the clients goat!

Bathroom gutted and hallway enclosed to create one large wet area room.

The kitchen is a standout feature, with gorgeous emerald green subway tiles and a cozy barn house sink that feels like home. The bathroom follows suit with subway tiles in a brilliant white finish that make the space feel even bigger. To top off the cozy factor of this home, a luxurious four claw bath is a perfect addition.

This house is contemporary Australian living, with absolute comfort and many beautiful plants to adorn.

From one window to this 4 metre sliding door.

What was once a dark and enclosed room is now an open expanse of fresh air and light to the garden.

The clients dream dark emerald tiles, with a beautiful servery to both inside and out.
